the hospital rang, they have cancelled my appt with the registrar emergency clinic.

he has gone sick.

they cant offer a new appt for another 4 wks....

Im afraid I cried.

the appt lady was moved and has rung the consultant secretary. consultant secretary rang me, consultant is going to see me at 8.30am tomorrow.

It is 4 wks since I wrote to them all to sort out my care. None of it is sorted out of course. Just the emergency presenting is (hopefully) to be addressed. Its such a fight.

I am so upset

Not surprising you`re upset Jenni - there doesn`t seem to be any "joined-up care" at all where you are. I hope the consultant listens to you tomorrow - cry a bit more if you feel like it : it makes them feel uncomfortable.

Take care,

Kathleen C x

I'm not surprised you cried Jenni! The lack of care for you is just unacceptable, I'm so glad they finally got you an appointment for tomorrow. Here's hoping it brings some results for you.

Love and hugs, Doreen xx

Hi Jenni

Will be thinking about you tomorrow; thank goodness you are getting to see the consultant! Start writing a list, you don't want to miss anything important after all this time!

Get the red boots on and stomp away!
Good luck Jenni,

Hi Jenni,

All the best for tomorrow.

Isn't it awful that we have to cry before we are taken seriously.

How awful for you Jenni, but..............

At least you are being seen tomorrow and the best bit about it is it's a consulatant and not a registar, so thats good news.

Hope you manage a 8.30am appointment, I know I would struggle to be there that early.

Red Boots and plenty of tissues.

Be thinking of you.

Good Luck

Hi Jenni

Hope tomorrow provides you with a positive outcome, none of this level of stress is doing the RA any good whatsoever ! I am a great believer in this stress thing with RA, I ve had a really stressful month, and I truly try not to let things get to me but my ESR and CRP have doubled and the RA has been really bad.

Like Lyn says write that list, will be thinking of you.

Oh Jenni - how awful that you should have to cry before you get an appointment. I can understand your distress - why should we have to beg to be treated? It's not fair. Well at least you get to see the consultant now.

Hope it is a 'good' appointment Jenni, and you can make it clear where you are up to. Imagine us all behind you in the room, cheering you on! Thinking of you XX Ailsa

Oh Jenni

No wondered you cried. Poor thing you. How so very frustrating

However by now you would have seen the Specialist - fingers crossed to get sorted.

Look forward to update later today

Hi Jenni,

I do hope you got somewhere with your appointment, You really need a change for the better with the appointment system. I wish you every success in any new treatments you try and every help possible. You deserve it. Smile
